Well, as said earlier that technology is being updated and upgraded day by day. A normal or gaming PC that was being used in 2005 or 2008 is not of any use for now because the PC with the configuration is too low for the current use.
Same like, if the games we used to play on PCs from 2000 to 2010 were the right choices at that time and we enjoyed playing those games. We loved the environment and the games. But, those old games are no longer played now.
So, when the software or games applications are updated so same as that the hardware for games is also being upgraded.

Now if we need the answer to the question,
How long do gaming PCs last?
The precise and average answer to this question is that we have observed gaming PCs so they last from 3 to 5 years even more at an average rate of usage. It totally depends on different conditions. If you use it more than 6 to 8 hours a day with maximum CPU and GPU usage with high resolution and heavy games, the average lifespan of such gaming pcs would be 2.5 to 4 years depending on the room or environment temperature controlled around.
Moreover, it should also be in mind that with the passage of time new games built, require upgraded hardware like graphics cards, GPU, RAM upgrades etc.
As CPUs are upgraded with more numbers of cores in it and GPUs are updated with new technology compatibility.
While opting for the gaming PC, it is best advised to go for advanced graphics card, CPUs & GPUs with all upgradable motherboard option in addition to maximum RAM support. Moreover, research the market to see the latest games upgrades and upcoming games of your desire and their minimum to maximum hardware requirements so that you may keep those in mind.
It is also noticed that most PCs especially gaming PCs don’t have required exhaust fans to cool down hardware specifically graphics cards and processors. To avoid these issues, go for a PC with the optimal cooling system.
Once you have researched the market with all updated available options for your PC in continuation with upcoming games, you can now build your gaming PC with all required hardware upgrades. In case, you are not a technical person and don’t know about the latest hardware, do contact someone that is well aware of gaming PC hardware parts.
After all specifications, just go for building your own gaming PC with your chosen hardware which will be lasting for more than 3 to 5 years.
It isn’t as though gaming PCs will be expiring after 3 to 5 years and will be useless. These gaming PCs will still be workable and functional but may not be compatible with the current game environment.
